Constant change

Isaiah 40:8- The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.

As a student my teacher introduced this saying to me. “There is nothing as constant as change “ and that fascinated me to the extent that every time i thought of it my imagination ran wild.. As a student things were as constant as it could be and as different as a new teacher every year.Like most of students ,I used to crave a changes in routine too, like occasional entertainment.

Growing up proved to be a lot different than expected. If I revisited a place where I last went six months ago, I would require the GPS to get around. ame with recognizing people – either nobody recognized me or I didn’t recognize them. Either ways everything started looking different. The first time we saw the Windows 10 update on our office laptops, we were irritated beyond measure, but then we got used to it.

Sometimes we rely too much on human forces and things around us without realizing that things around us are constantly changing and nothing is permanent.

We are like the grass that wither, why do we really stress on worldly things and hold on to grudges and jealousy so tightly when it is all merely a matter of six feet of dust.

Was fighting for that really important? Was not forgiving really essential for this journey you are on?

God wants you and me to know that no matter what changes around us, there is one person we can turn to.

If forever’s is not your thing because you have heard enough forever’s that haven’t lasted, here is a forever that will last a lifetime.

Lord, thank you for being there for me in spite of me forgetting to come to. Thank you for accompanying me in this journey of mine. Thank you for filling me with your love and keeping me safe. Amen.
